I was thinking about Italy today. And I thought I'd help people learn a bit about Italy, or how the great region where the locals refer to as "The Land of the Rising Sun."
Anywho, Italy is a big country in a place called "Europe." Europe is a collection of other countries, some big and some small, where many funny-sounding languages are spoken. Italy has lots of great fashion and food, like pasta, cheese, spaghetti sauce, Canadian bacon, canteloupe, salad dressing, and Italian meatball sandwiches. These sandwiches are sometimes called "Italians." They're named after the people in Italy, who are also called "Italians." I'm sure that's a little confusing to some, as nobody would want to eat a person, especially when they thought they were getting a sandwich. But I think these types of mix-ups are few and far between.
About the people: they smoke a lot and ride motorcycles and have black hair. Some are sexy and/or hairy.
Italy has many old buildings too. That's because the country is way old. I have no idea how fricken old, but rest assured the country is in the very, very old range. I've always wanted to walk around a place that old, but no such luck, although I live in the Linnton neighborhood which is older than my dad.
It would be great to learn about Italy's ancient history while knowing that I can outrun it should it try to capture me. I am much younger and more spry than it is. That's all I've got about Italy. Viva la Italia or what have you.

Something positive about Starbucks!
I found another something positive to say about Starbucks!! Yep.
Starbucks has the decency to attempt to blend in with its surrounding neighboring businesses, sort of. The green and brown are almost a polite apology, a little bit of restraint desperately but quietly compensating for their ubiquity of being the McDonalds of Coffeeworld. They could've been red and orange, but they decided on green and brown. That's pretty good! Good job, Starbucks!

I'm being really super positive
I haven't been able to write things on this blob about homeless people and all the other trivial things that mean a lot to me because I've been focusing on work and my family and life and my Great American Work of Fiction in general. So. Anwywho, I'll try to write more when I'm finally back in the swing of things.
I was trying to think of something positive to say about Starbucks just now, and you know what? I found something. They're everywhere!!!

It's time for June
It's June already. Can you believe? I can. I've been waiting for June. It's a good time of year because school's out and I can finally clean out my locker. My locker stinks right now. It stinks to high heaven. Yep, high heaven. High heaven as opposed to low heaven, which I understand is a huge difference, especially when it comes to to rotten banana peels. Anywho, I think the banana peels were left in there since October, but not by me. My locker partner eats bananas. I don't eat bananas, so it can't be me. Bananas don't agree with me. Where was I? It's June. Anyone see the democratic candidate debates last night on CNN? I did. Here's a recap of what I thought: Governor Richardson: you are so relaxed and have such natural gestures and eloquent prose. Hah hah hah ha.
